Mashiach in 2026? Here Are Some Stock Picks for You.
Every few years a wave of certainty sweeps the frum world. Wanting Mashiach is a mitzvah; the confidence, and the timelines, are the problem.
Written in March 2026. The headlines below are a snapshot of that moment; the argument is not.
We all have that favorite social-media Rabbi who whispers, “You see what’s happening in the news? Mashiach is coming in 2026!”
Every few years, a wave of certainty sweeps through the frum world, not the hopeful “achakeh lo b’chol yom sheyavo” kind. Someone did the gematria on a CNN headline and it all checks out.
Wanting Mashiach to come is not the problem. It’s a mitzvah. The problem is the confidence. The sensational videos. The timelines. The WhatsApp voice notes.
“But This Time It’s Different”
The material is pretty good right now. Khamenei is gone. Iran is shaking. Israel and America are cooperating at levels that would have seemed unthinkable a few years ago. The sources are real. The certainty people attach to them is not.
A Cautionary Tale as Old as Sinai
The first time Klal Yisrael tried to calculate an exact arrival date, Moshe went up to Har Sinai and Bnei Yisrael did the math on when he’d come back. They got it wrong. The result was the Egel HaZahav. The Gemara in Sanhedrin says: “Tipach ruchan shel mechashvei kitzin”: may the spirit of those who calculate the end be deflated.
Investment Advice for the Fortune Tellers
If Mashiach arrives this year, several major industries would face immediate pressure:
- Defense: Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX, General Dynamics. A world without war would hit them hard.
- Gambling: DraftKings, MGM, Caesars, Penn, Wynn, Las Vegas Sands.
- Adult entertainment: PLBY Group.
- Healthcare / sick-care: Pfizer, Merck, J&J, AbbVie, UnitedHealth, CVS, Cigna, Humana.
If you genuinely believe the world order is about to be replaced by universal peace and divine knowledge, there’s a money-making trade for that. If you’re right, you’ll make a fortune, and then donate it to tzedakah.
What Real Emunah Looks Like
Real faith in the coming of Mashiach doesn’t require a date. It requires a posture: daily readiness, a spiritual orientation. That means learning Torah, doing chesed, working on middot, being honest in business, treating people with dignity.
The Rambam counts belief in Mashiach’s coming among the Thirteen Principles of Faith. He does not count confidence in your personal timeline.
Hope for Mashiach? Absolutely. Every single day. Want to announce on social media that Mashiach is coming this Elul based on a gematria? Maybe just short Lockheed Martin first. Then we’ll talk.
